I reduced the Azul's player board to its essential elements and changed the way in which the points are scored:

After playing it a couple of times I bought the actual game, mainly because I loved the thick and colorful tiles. But the whole game I made fits in an old VHS-tape box. It makes it perfect for when you travel.
Notes on Implementation / PnP
I printed the boards on self-adhesive A4 sheets that I then applied to packaging cardboard. I could cut the board with normal scissors.
I completely re-wrote the rule book so that I could easily teach the game to people who didn't know it yet (it was well before it became Spiel des Jahres 2018).
