Here is a pic'n'mix bag of links I found useful and/or interesting. I'll
keep adding links as I get around to doing it. Please email me the links
you love, as long as they point to pages in either English, Italian,
German, or French. Thanks.

The United Nations High
Commission for Human Rights has published the
Universal Declaration of
Human Rights. I believe that everybody should read it, at least once.
Last time I checked, it was available in 393 languages. You should find
one you can understand...

The Sociecy for Scientific
Exploration (SSE) is an organisation of scientists and scholars studying
unusual and unexplained phenomena. Subjects often cross mainstream
boundaries, such as consciousness, ufos, and alternative medicine, yet often
have profound implications for human knowledge and technology. All topics are
therefore welcome for review. The SSE was founded in 1982 and has
approximately 800 members in 45 countries worldwide. The SSE publishes a
peer-reviewed journal, the Journal of Scientific Exploration (JSE).
Associate and student memberships are available to the public.

| | ip2location.com maintains a database of
IP address locations and provides a series of associated services. For
example, the search box on the left tells you where an IP address is located,
and if you click on the button below, you will see a map of the world with
the location of the last 100 people who have clicked it.

 | | CAcert.org is a community driven,
Certificate Authority that issues certificates to the public at large
for free. It is a great alternative to the expensive services of
VeriSign and similar organisations.

 | | FlightStats provides real-time
and historical flight information. You can use it to check congestion
and delay at airports, airline schedules, and a lot of other stuff useful
to people who travel frequently.

Have you ever found yourself in an airline seat that doesn't reclinate? Or
just beside the lavatories on a long flight? No more!
SeatExpert lists in detail the seating
of a lot of airplane models as configured by the various airlines, and shows
you which seats are to be avoided. I just love it. It is very useful
especially for intercontinental flights, even if it taxes your agent's
patience to the limit!

Mit mehr als einer Million Einträgen ist die Kreuzworträtsel
Datenbank (KWDB) eine grosse Hilfe
für wen, wie ich, Deutsch nicht als Muttersprache kennt. I said:
with more than one million entries, the crossword database is of great help
for people like me, who are not native speakers of German.
